In Taiwan, the Mid-Autumn Festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar and is a holiday.
This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival will be celebrated on October 1.
Originally, this holiday is based on a Chinese legend about a woman who took her husband’s Elixir of Immortality and became a nymph.
It’s a somewhat sad legend.
What kind of day is this for the Taiwanese people?
We ate mooncakes, yuzu, and then BBQ, BBQ, BBQ…
That’s why most Taiwanese get fat after the Mid-Autumn Festival .
We used to have a BBQ at Aki’s mom’s house every year at Ribbon.
This year, we had to cancel the BBQ due to Aki’s strong request that she didn’t want to get fat.
However, we still wanted to show our gratitude to everyone.
Roast chicken (!) and we would like to eat with you at the lounge.
